This world has almost 7000 languages. Most Adventist publications appear in major languages such as English, Spanisch, Portuguese and French. These languages are accessible to the educated and elite even in emerging nations, but in order to reach the common people it is necessary to publish our books in their mother tongue.

We have the commission in God's Word: And I saw another angel fly in the midst of heaven, having the everlasting gospel to preach unto them that dwell on the earth, and to every nation, and kindred, and tongue, and people. Revelation 14: 6.

I saw in the night visions, and behold, one like the Son of man came with the clouds of heaven, and came to the Ancient of days, and they brought him near before him. And there was given him dominion, and glory, and a kingdom, that all people, nations, and languages, should serve him. Daniel 7: 13, 14.

We also have this message in the Spirit of Prophecy: Many of Gods people are to go forth with our publications into places where the third angel's message has never been proclaimed. Our books are to be published in many different languages... From city to city, from country to country, they are to carry the publications containing the promise of the Savior's soon coming. These publications are to be translated into every languages, for to all the world the gospel is to be preached. 9T 33, 34.

The books containing the reasons for our faith must be translated into all languages. This work must make more rapid progress than it has made. RH 9- 17- 1903.
